What size should a Pinterest board cover be?
Choose a 600 × 600 or 1200 × 1200 square export. These are practical PinEasy presets. Pinterest’s board-editing help does not specify a universal board-cover pixel size. Check the result on your own profile because display layouts can vary.
Is this a board cover or a profile banner?
A board cover is the main image for a board on your profile. It is different from your profile cover and the header image at the top of a board. This tool prepares a square board-cover image.
How do I change my board cover?
You can change a board cover on desktop or iOS, not on Android. On Pinterest’s website, open your profile, choose Boards, open a board, then use the menu beside its name and choose Edit board. Use the plus icon to update the board cover, then choose Done. Follow the options Pinterest shows for your account.
What if my image is not square?
Use Crop to square to choose which area to keep. Use Keep full image to position the whole image on a square with your chosen canvas color. The editable cover is downloaded; the illustrative side tiles and board name are not.
Will a small image become sharper?
No. Enlarging an image adds pixels but does not recover missing detail. The resolution check warns when your selected crop needs enlargement at your selected export size.
Will a board cover improve my search ranking?
This tool checks image dimensions and helps you prepare a recognizable cover. It does not measure or predict Pinterest search rankings, reach, or engagement.
